RESIDENTIAL

International design is always a unique vision for the owner and the designer. Cultural differences sometimes dictate design, and this 6,000 square foot condo in Monterrey, Mexico was no different. We were able to take a plain white box and work with the owners to translate their American vision with Mexican sensibilities. Ultimately the nano wall from the corner of the living room opens to expose an open courtyard and balcony, which doubles the size of this space for entertaining, from formal to informal. Private space versus social space was also clearly mapped out during the floor planning phase. The floors were hand-selected from local quarries, while the custom cabinetry was imported from the States, successfully providing the client with an Americanized lifestyle in the heart of Mexico.
